The HV420 is a manual pneumatic directional valve with a four-way operation & four ports (P = Pressure 1, R = Pressure 2, A = Outlet 1, B = Outlet 2). Four-way, three-position valves can be used to switch two air inputs between two outputs, with a detented center position where all ports are closed.
